Monday, June 12, 2017

Former Minister Silpa Mohan Reddy today announced of his resignation from Telugu Desam Party and joining of YSRCP in presence of it’s president on June 14.

Silpa Mohan Reddy held extensive deliberations with the TDP functionaries and his followers in Nandyal before announcing of his decision to leave the party. He alleged that his family has been loyal to the TDP and its leadership right from but were meeting out insults.

It is a well-known truth that Silpa Mohan Reddy is aspiring the party ticket from Nandyal Assembly seat in the by-elections arising out of the death of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. Silpa Mohan Reddy and his brother Chakrapani Reddy, (MLC & TDP district president) were unhappy over not getting favourable response from Chandrababu Naidu. Sources said that TDP is inclining to field Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, the cousin of Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya.

However, it is not clear that Silpa Chakrapani Reddy would also quit the TDP to follow the path of his brother. It may be worth mentioned here that Gangula Prabhakar Reddy, Allagadda constituency in charge quit the TDP joined the YSRCP and became MLC unanimously a couple of months ago.
