Former IAS officer PVRK Prasad passed away

Former IAS Officer P.V.R.K.Prasad who worked in various capacities in the combined Andhra Pradesh passed away while undergoing treatment at the Care Hospitals in Banjara Hills in the wee hours of Monday.

The family members of Prasad have admitted him into Care Hospital following cardiac attack on Friday and made his last breate on Monday at around 2am. The body was shifted to his residence at Road No.7.

Prasad worked as the Executive Officer of the TTD for sufficiently long term and also worked as information advisor to late Prime Minister P.V.Narasimha Rao. He is survived by a wife, a son and a daughter.

Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Principal advisor to government Parakala Prabhakar, Lok Satta chief Jaya Prakash Narayan, several IAS and IPS officer visited and paid their respects. Retired officers IYR Krishna Rao, MVS Prasad, Chengappa, Rambabu, SV Bhaskara Rao, BV Rama Rao, Krishna Rao, Satyanarayana are some of the many who paid rich tributes.

Jagan condoles: YSRCP president and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy express his condolences over the death of Prasad. AP Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao expressed their condolences to the bereaved family members.

Final rites were held at Panjagutta cremation grounds today.
