Former Congress senior leader Ramachandraiah joins YSRCP

Congress party senior leader C. Ramachandraiah today joined YSRCP in the presence of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Ramachandraiah strongly opposed political alliance between the TDP and the Congress, announced that the TDP and the Congress announced that he had resigned from the Congress opposing its political strategies. He met Jagan at Makkuva of Salur Constituency and explained his willingness to be part of YSRCP for which Jagan responded positively.

Meanwhile, YSRCP Rajya Sabha members V.Vijaya Sai Reddy and V.Prabhakar Reddy and four former MPs met President Ram Nath Kovind today and urged him to intervene in the investigation into the knife attack on party president Jagan Mohan Reddy. The MPs, former MPs along with MLC Venkateswarulu handed over a letter written by Jagan Mohan Reddy to the President, and explained the salient points to him. In the six page letter, Jagan gave a detailed account of the attack on him by a ‘TDP sympathizer’. He urged the President to entrust the investigation to an agency not under the control of the State government.
