Food Park to come up at Thotapalli at a cost of Rs.184.88 crore

The State government has given a green signal to the APIIC for development of Mega Food Park with Rs.184 crore at Thotapalli village in Krishna district. The State Government has issued orders to this effect.

The final approval was accorded by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries of the Central Government. The total cost of the project is Rs.184.88 crore and of this Rs.50 crore will be given as grant by the Central Government. The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has requested the State to give permission for incorporation of Special purpose Company for development of Mega Food Park at Thotapalli with 100 per cent equity holding by the APIIC. A private partner would be brought in at later stage for the operations, maintenance and such other activities.
