Five international standard indoor stadiums would be constructed in the next two years

Speaking at the inaugural session of the 33rd All India Postal Table Tennis Tournament here today, Special Chief Secretary L.V.Subramanyam said that a swanky indoor stadiums will come up at Vidhyadarapuram by December next.

He said that the State government is preparing a road map for the construction of five international standard indoor stadiums in various places in the next coming two years. He said that sportsman in an organization were more reliable for they are known for their discipline, commitment, team work and always exhibited the never-say-die attitude. ‘I am happy the postal department is appointing 32 persons under sports quota in the Andhra Pradesh Circle’, he said.

Table Tennis Federation of India senior vice-president S.M.Sultan requested him to use his good offices and upgrade the lighting facilities at the DRRMC Indoor Stadium.

Chief Postmaster General of AP Circle K.Balasubramanian and Postmaster General Radhika Chakravarthy took part in the inauguration function in which players from 15 circles performed a colourful mark. The five-day event will conclude on November 17.
