Elaborate arrangements are being made for conduct of two Brahmotsavams during the year.
The annual Salakatala Brahmotsavams will be organized from September 13 to 18, the Navaratri Brahmotsavams are scheduled to be organized from October 10 to 18. Heavy turnout of pilgrims are expected for the events.
The TTD has decided to organize the evening procession between 8pm and 10pm instead of from 9pm. The procession of Garuda Seva has also been advanced by half an hour.
Speaking to media after chairing a high-level meeting with the District Collector, Tirupati (Urban) SP, APSRTC officials and HoDs of various department, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal today said that engineering and electrical works with regard to beautification of the town would be completed by the end of August.
Around 2,800 police personnel, in addition to 400 home guards, 3,000 Srivari Seva volunteers and 1,3350 Scouts and Guides would be drafted for the festival. The TTD also procured video cameras, handsets, and raincoats that were required for the police personnel. The TTD has decided to do away with the VIP break darshan on the Garuda Seva day. Only those under the protocol category would be entertained on the remaining days. A stock of seven lakh laddus would be maintained, he said.
