Dr.M.Ramayya Krishnan selected for Nayudamma Award

Nayudamma Centre for Development Alternatives Centre Director Dr.M.Jagadish announced that Dr.M.Ramayya Krishnan was selected for Nayudamma Award for 2015.

Dr.Ramayya Krishnan is an Indian national with American Citizenship did his B.Tech. IIT Madras and had his education at Cockrell School of Engineering (M.Tech), University of Texas at Austin (PhD). He is working as Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He is an Indian American Management and Information Technology expert from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the dean of Heinz College and also holds the H.John Heinz III deanship and is the W.W.Cooper and Ruth F.Cooper Professor of Management Science and Information Systems at Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Yalavarthi Nayudamma was born on September 10, 1922 and died on June 23, 1985 was a chemical engineer and scientist was killed on Air India Flight 182. He was born in an agricultural family at Yelavarru near Tenali in Andhra Pradesh. He had his primary education at AC College and did B.Sc (Chemical Technology) at Banaras Hindu University. He was married to Y.Pavana and two sons and a daughter. His wife committed suicide after the death of Nayudamma.

Bajaj, K. Kasturirangan, Verghese Kurien, S.Z. Qasim, M.G. K. Menon and M.S. Swaminathan and Dr.Vijay Kumar Saraswat among others.
