Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today launched ’Jalavani’, a call centre to address problems in drinking water supply today.
Minister for Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Nara Lokesh was present at the launching of ‘Jalavani’. Speaking to media, Lokesh said that 2,576 complaints had been received from various districts during the period of pilot study. Of them, 1,067 had been resolved. Work began in respect of the rest of the complaints, he said.
Lokesh said that officials were being instructed to solve the problems on priority basis. Water tankers were being pressed into service and bore-wells dug wherever required. He said steps have been taken to ensure foolproof implementation of MGNREGS and distribution of pension through the real-time governance in three months.
