Devineni Rajasekhar cremated with State honours

TDP leader and former Minister Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru) who had his last breath on Monday due to cardiac arrest was consigned to the flames with full State honours. It may be recalled that Former Minister and TDP leader Devineni Nehru passed away at Care Hospitals, Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu placed a wreath on the body and consoled his son Avinash. Naidu stayed through the last rites performed by Avinash.

Party leaders spoke of how the ‘Gunadala Tiger’ had always managed to keep his supporters together through the thick and thin of his political career, regardless of the party he was affiliated. Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Kala Venkata Rao, Kollu Ravindra and Nara Lokesh, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani, MLA Bonda Uma, MLC Budha Venkanna, Mayor Koneru Sridhar and actor Mohan Babu were among those attended the funeral.
