Cyber Crime police station to be inaugurated

The Cyber Crime police station and a Cyber Forensic Laboratory will be inaugurated today by the DGP R.P.Thakur.

The police station and the laboratory have been set up at the Udyog Bhavan of VUDA building at Siripuram. DCP (Crime) A.R.Damodar said that the laboratory will e equipped with advanced tools such as mobile forensic tools, USCD and a few other sophisticated equipment to crack cyber-crimes.

Police said that Cyber crimes are on the rise in the city. Last year, the city registered a steep rise by registering 576 cyber crime cases when compared to the 442 reported in 2016.
