Chintu admits that he had murdered Katari couple

The prime accused Chandrasekhar (Chintu) during police interrogation has admitted that he had murdered the Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Katari Mohan.

Superintendent of Police Ghattamaneni Srinivas speaking to media said that the police have identified Rs.40 crore of assets. The SP said that Chintu had developed a grudge over them for not allotting civil works of the corporation along with other works and also spoiled his marriage. He said that the police had seized documents worth over Rs.40 crore after searches and the data will be shared to Enforcement Department, Income Tax and Commercial Taxes department. He said that another 25 accused were arrested in the double murder.

It may be recalled that the Chittoor Municipal Corporation Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Mohan were murdered in her office chambers on November 17, 2015. While Anuradha died on the spot, Mohan died while undergoing treatment Vellore CMC.
