Chief Minister approves Amaravati Master Plan

  • Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has approved the revised master plan for new capital Amaravati
  • The Chief Minister discussed the revised master plan with AP municipal administration minister P Narayana, principal secretary, infrastructure Ajay Jain and Capital Region Development Authority commissioner for three hours on Thursday
  • The revised master plan was submitted a couple of days ago by Singapore-based company Surbana
  • Minister P Narayana told reporters that the Chief Minister had sought minor changes in the revised master plan
  • Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has asked officials to prepare a draft master plan and prospective plans and issue notifications.
  • After issuing the draft notifications, the government will give 30 days to the public and experts to submit objections and suggestions on the master plan
  • Allotment of plots to farmers will begin after the issue of final notification
  • Draft notification of the Amaravati master plan is likely to be issued by December 27 or 28
