Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu misses Republic Day celebrations

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu could not make it to the Republic Day celebrations at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium here today as he was tuck up at Abu Dhabi on his return from Davos invites criticism from various political circles.

In the absence of Chandrababu Naidu, his wife Bhuvaneshwari hoisted the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence. She took part I the celebrations with their grandson Devansh. Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa deputised for Chandrababu at the official Republic Day parade. Chandrababu also had to skip the customary ‘At Home’ hosted by Governor ESL Narasimhan in Hyderabad.

Governor ESL Narasimhan reviewing the 69th Republic Day parade said that after bifurcation, the government had converted every crisis into an opportunity and initiated revolutionary policies for the development of the deprived sections of the society. He said that the government’s people-centric approach and developmental activities are giving good results. He listed out the developments that took place in the State.
