AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his confidence of arriving at a consensus on an alliance to take on the NDA in the next Lok Sabha elections.

He met the former Prime Minister H.D.Deve Gowda at his residence today. ‘It is an initial exercise. I have taken the initiative and I am meeting everybody. Eventually we will decide how to take this forward’, he said and added that the Prime Ministerial candidate would be decided later. ‘Our mission is to save the democracy, nation and the Constitution. We will decide the prime ministerial candidate later’, he added. He sought advice from Deve Gowda in this direction. Chandrababu hoped that two big rallies being planned by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in there and Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy in Karnataka would provide a platform for regional leaders.

Chandrababu accused the BJP led-NDA of misusing Central Agencies like Income Tax, Enforcement Directorate and CBI to control and harass Opposition leaders in Karnataka, Bihar, UP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat are being harassed.
