AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidutook a serious objection on the comments of Chittoor TDP MP N.Sivaprasad that welfare remained a mirage for Dalits as the successive governments had failed to deliver their promises.
During a teleconference with the Ministers, Chandrababu Naidu said that the MP’s open criticism of the government and the party was obviously prompted by his personal agenda and warned that he would not tolerate such irresponsible behavior.
Chandrababu reiterated that the leaders were free to let their discontent known in the party forums but should not lower the prestige of the government through their actions. Sivarprasad’s sudden outburst had something to do with his turning down his request for regularization of prime land in Tirupati in favour of some individuals, he said.
Some TDP leaders have denounced the comments of Sivaprasad and wanted the Chief Minister to take immediate action. Sources said that they even suggested the Chief Minister to quickly act against Sivaprasad so that disgruntled leaders, if any, would be restrained from indulging in anti-party activities.
