The Araku and Paderu police have booked cases against YSRCP Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari on Friday for making derogatory comments against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in a meeting in Chintapalli on Thursday which was addressed by Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Paderu ASP A.Babujee said that the cases were filed following complaints received from TDP leaders at Araku and Paderu. They in their complaints alleged that she made derogatory comments on Chandrababu Naidu in a public meeting against bauxite mining issue. He said that the police will take action after examining the footage.
The ASP said that the police have booked cases u/s 506 and 307 of IPC.
Meanwhile Minister for Mines and Geology Peethala Sujatha said the comments made by Jagan against Chandrababu Naidu were highly deplorable, derogatory and damaging. She said that the government was contemplating action against Jagan Mohan Reddy for his comments at Chintapalli public meeting.
