Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas said that the government is taking steps to strengthen the health sector in the State. He said that the government has released Rs.101 crore for 84 Primary Health Centres. He said that 800 medical officer posts have been filled up and another 500 doctor posts would be filled up soon.
Kamineni Srinivas said that medical equipment factory with an investment of Rs.225 crore would be coming up in Visakhapatnam. A cancer hospital with Rs.10 crore would come up in Guntur and Visakhapatnam. It will be ready for inauguration by December. VIMS will be inaugurated on April 11 at Visakhapatnam.
