Call money sex racket busted-role of ruling party leaders

The Vijayawada Task Force police have during their raids have reportedly came to a conclusion that the ruling party leaders and people’s representatives have been assisting and financing the Call money racket. The YSR Congress Party demanded the government to order a high-level probe into the case.

During the raids, the police seized documents, promissory notes and assets documents, computer hard discs. The police also seized ta car of APEPDCL Divisional Engineer (Technical) M.Satyanandam who is also an accused in the racket . Sources said that the preliminary investigation reveals the role of a sitting ruling party MLA and his brother.

YSCRP spokesperson Vasireddy Padma addressing media said that women, housewives and students had become victims of this rack that lends money for their dire needs and later exploits them.

The ‘call money’ racket came to light following a complaint by a woman who sought help of the trust to pay college tuition fee of her daughter. She ended up in the financer’s bed when she could not pay. Her misery did not end there as she found that finance mafia had also pushed her daughter into high class prostitution. Unable to bear the harassment, the lady complained to Vijayawada City Police commissioner Gautam Sawang who pressed a task force into action. With the number of complaints mounting, the Task Force Police have arrested 10 members of the gang and the search is on for another 70 persons.

Cases booked
The Task Force Polie have arrested seven people including TDP leaders Pendyala Srikanth, Doodala Rajesh and Venigalla Srikanth. Electricity Department Divisional Engineer Satyanand, Yalamanchili Ramu, Bhavani Shankar. The DE Satyanandam, Venegalla Srikanth along with the MLA who is in foreign tour are absconding.

People’s representative guest house is the centre?
Sources said that the guest house belonging to a people’s representative is the Centre for the entire episode. Some top profile officials, political leaders and businessmen including some cine actors used to visit the guest house on weekends. Sources said that the entire expenditure for the weekend parties are being borne by Yalamanchili Ramu, Venigalla Srikanth, Electrical DE M.Satyanandam and others. They used to spend nearly Rs.2 lakhs for organizing the week-end parties. At nights, some young girls including women and in some occasions, models used to visit the guest house in high range cars for their participation.

Milk vendor Naga Ganesh commits suicide
One milk vendor Vattikuti Naga Nagesh (45) has on Saturday in Tanuku committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan on Saturday afternoon unable to bear the harassment of the ‘Call money’ gang. The police seized the suicide note that said that he took the extreme step following harassment of the call money gang.

Case tightens around TDP MLA Bode Prasad
The Task Force Personnel are tightening the nose of TDP MLA Bode Prasad. Sources said that the MLA had gone to foreign for five times with the prime accused in the case. Sources said that Prasad also involved in some settlements and police suspect that he had invested Rs.3 crore in the call money and is getting lakhs of rupees as income every month. Some of the Telugu TV Channels are telecasting the photos of Bode Prasad with Srikanth taken in abroad. Sources said that a leader of Guntur Zilla Parishad along with another TDP leader from Vuyyuru have invested money in the call money.

Meanwhile YSRCP spokesperson K.Parthasarathi speaking to media said that Call Money-sex racket issue will be taken up in the Assembly session. He alleged that the government is trying to safeguard those connected with the party in the case. He demanded stern action should be taken against those involved in the entire affair. He appealed the police officers to investigate the case without any bias.
