The City Task Force police arrested two private money lenders Yelamanchily Srirama Murty and Dudala Rajesh for their alleged involvement in money-cum-sex racket following a complaint by a woman victim.
Vijayawada City Police Commissioner D.Gautam Sawang speaking to press on Sunday said that the modus operandi of the accused is to offer loans to needy persons after obtaining promissory notes and blank cheques form them. They later blackmail the victims and sexually exploit woman borrowers.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu made enquires into the alleged call money-sex-scandal in which several private money lenders and political leaders were reportedly involved. Minister of Irrigation Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the Chief Minister collected the details of the case from Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa, DGP J.V.Ramudu. The Deputy Chief Minister Rajappa directed the officers to book the culprits irrespective of their status and not to spare anyone if they were involved in the case. He said that the government has directed the police to conduct a fair and thorough probe into the scandal and arrest all the accused. He requested the victims to lodge their complaints with the Collector or Commissioner of Police.
Electrical Divisional Engineer Satyanandam suspended
APSPDCL Chief Managing Director H.Y.Dora has suspended the electrical D.E. M.Satyanandam. He is the fourth accused in the case. The police have registered cases u/s 420, 376, 354(A) (1,2), 384, 509, 506 r/w 34, 120 (B). Satyanandam went underground the police are on search for him. He is a leader of Electrical State JAC. Sources said that he had invested Rs.3 crore in the call money business.
Telugu Rythu leader absconding
Krishna district Telugu Rythu president Chalasani Anjaneyulu is reportedly absconding after his name surfaced in the episode. He is a close relative of Yelamanchily Srirama Murty. Police also found involvement of another one Y.Jayakumar from Patamata .
