The CID police had registered a case against eight persons including the wife of Vijayawada Central MLA’s wife Bonda Sujatha in an alleged fraudulent registration of a piece of land worth crores of rupees in the city.

The accused allegedly got five acres of land near Ajit Singh Nagar allotted to freedom fighter Kesireddy Suryanarayana by the government, registered on their names a few years ago. According to the complainant, K.Suresh Babu, grandson of Suryanarayana, documents were created to show that the land was sold and registered some 30 years ago to Abdul Mastan and Ramireddy Koteswara Rao. Another document was created showing that the two had sold the land to six other accused in the case.

The CID recently questioned Koteswara Rao regarding the land issue for which he reportedly stated that he was not aware of the same. In his complaint, he said that he was not the owner of the land in dispute nor did he sell it to anyone.
