Bus cleaner held for forcing couple to stripe

One Bheemaraju, a resident of Aregujjanahalli in Tumakuru district and works as a clear of a private bus was arrested for forcing a young couple to stripe at Siddarabetta in the Koratagere taluk of Tumakuru district recently.

Inspector General of Police of Central Range Arun Chakravarthy taken reporters that the accused confessed to forcing the couple to disrobe by threatening them that he had taken their pictures and could arrest them for indulging in illegal activities. He had taken away their mobile phones and the women’s bag. The police tracked him after he used the woman’s mobile phone to call his sister at Aregujjanahalli. He was arrested at Madhugiri while trying to board a bus at Pavagada. The IGP said Bheemaraju forced the couple to undress to ensure that they could neither follow him nor seek help from the public. The police recovered the two phones and the woman’s bag from him. After hiding in the forest the whole night, the woman sought help of the villagers at Bandehalli who gave her clothes.
