Big breaking: Murder attempt on YSRCP president Jagan Reddy at Visakhapatnam International Airport

A murder attempt was made on the life of YSRCP chief and Leader of the Opposition in the AP Assembly by one Srinivas, a waiter working in the Airport Canteen.

The incident took place at VIP lounge where Jagan was waiting to take a flight to Hyderabad. The accused came to him and urged him to take a selfie and under this guise, he took out a knife (used in cockfights) and attempted on him. Alerted over this, Jagan slipped a side and in this course, the knife went deep into his left hand.

The Security staff working at the airport took the accused into custody. He is the staff of airport canteen which is being run by a TDP leader Harshavardan.

After taking first aid, Jagan took up the flight and shortly will be reaching Hyderabad. He came to airport after completing 294days of Padayatra.

A large number of YSRCP supporters reached the Airport and are condemning the incident. They have been demanding a probe into the incident and trace out the main one who is behind the incident. Jagan will shortly be landing into Hyderabad International Airport. [[1]]

  • Jagan Mohan Reddy reached Hyderabad.
  • The accused belongs to Amalapuram. He is working in the restaurant for past one year. Sources said that the accused attempted to attack him on his neck, but Jagan slipped aside resulting an injury on his left hand. The weapon is used in cockfights.
  • BJP MLC Somu Veeraraju condemning the incident expressed apprehension that the incident might have been done with a political motto.
  • Owaisi condemning the incident, demanded the Centre to make an inquiry into the incident. He accused that a VVIP has no secuirty that too in Airport lounge.
  • A large number of supporters are staging protests at Visakhapatnam Airport.
  • BJP condemns the incident. Veerraju demanded immediate action on the accused.
  • BJP leader GVL expressed doubt of conspiracy in the incident.
