Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy takes oath as MLA – assures development of Nandyal

Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy today took oath as MLA in Speaker’s Dr. Kodela Siva Prasad Rao’s chambers at the Assembly.

The Speaker administered the oath to Brahmananda Reddy who got elected from the Nandyal constituency in the by-election recently. The Speaker gave away a bag containing books on Assembly rules and regulations.

Speaking to pressmen after taking oath, Brahmananda Reddy said that he would strive hard to develop Nandyal into a beautiful city. It would be developed as per the aspirations of his uncle and former MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy whose demise necessitated the by-poll.

He said that developmental works were already commenced. A land on the outskrits would be earmarked for piggery. Roads would be widened by paying suitable compensation to the affected families. The government sanctioned as many as 13,000 houses under the housing scheme. Of these, 11,000 beneficiaries had already given DDs, he said.
