Bhoondi complex to come up at a cost of Rs.21.71 crore

The TTD Board today resolved to construct a boondi complex at a cost of Rs.21.71 crore.

The idea of an exclusive complex for boondi-the main ingredient in the famous laddu is to increase the ease of operation and reduce the threat of recurrent fire accidents. The complex will come up adjacent to the main temple. TTD Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav and EO Anil Kumar Singhal told the media that the board resolved to take up brass fencing of Pushkarini at a cost of Rs.3.77 core and sanctioned Rs.2.50 crore for the construction of gopuram, Pushkarini at Narayanavanam temple.

The board resolved to enhance the salaries of contract and outsourced employees working in the TTD by providing them incentives. The move is expected to benefit about 7.429 employees. The salaries of the employees working under unskilled category will be increased from Rs.7,500 to Rs.11,000, semi-skilled from Rs.9,500 to Rs.12,000 and skilled from Rs.11,000 to Rs.13,000 depending on their grade.
