Hindupur TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s alleged vulgar remarks about women on Sunday have triggered a flood of reactions on the social media. The issue has created yet another worry to the TDP along side the son’s arrest of Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu at a time when the Assembly session is on.

YSRCP MLA Uppuleti Kalpana came down heavily on the ruling TDP and Balakrishna’s remarks. While the TDP has given wide publicity during elections that Chandrababu Naidu along could provide safety and security to women in the State, Kalpana wondered why the ruling party was silent over the remarks of Balakrishna against women. She said that the TDP holds YSRCP responsible for every mishap in the State but it is a fact that atrocities against women have increased during the TDP’s rule. She reminded of Chandrababu Naidu’s remark that no mother-in-law would say no if her daughters-in-law says that she would give birth to a male child. It was an insult to women, she said. She further said that the government supported the Principal of ANU college of Architecture Baburao in the Rushiteswari suicide case. TDP did not act on the attack over a woman MRO by a TDP MLA, she reminded.

Balakrishna allegedly said at the release function of a movie 'Savitri' that his fans want him to kiss the female characters and impregnate them in all the movies.
