Friday, November 16, 2018

Metropolitan Sessions Judge and First Additional district judge S.Nagarjuna today rejected the bail petition of J.Srinivasa Rao who allegedly attacked Jagan Reddy at the Visakhapatnam Airport on October 25.

The bail hearing was scheduled for Thursday but after hearing the arguments from both the sides, the judge had put off the decision for Friday and finally rejected it. Sources said that the judge, explaining the reasons for rejecting the petition said that Jagan had refused to record his statement and even police investigation had not been completed.

The judge asked the investigation officers to examine the blood-stained shirt of Jagan Reddy. On Thursday, Assistant Public Prosecutor K.Jayalakshmi urged the court to defer the matter till November 27 as on that day the High Court would issue a ruling on the petitions filed by Jagan Mohan Reddy. Citing media reports, she informed the court that Srinivas feared for his life and hence it was not advisable to give him bail.
