Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) has reportedly decided to offer to its customers free lifetime voice calls.
BSNL’s free voice calls are targeted for 2G, 3G and 4G customers while Jio’s free voice calls are limited to only 4G users. BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava said that will be from January 1, 2017. She said that BSNL is closely watching the market as well as Jio’s performance. The plans are there in such a manner that their customers can now pay less than Rs.149pm which is the entry level plan for Jio customers on 4G network. The new free lifetime voice calls and cheap data would be rolled out only for those customers who have installed BSNL’s broadband services at home; and the free voice calls would be routed via home broadband connection and used for providing free mobile calls.
