The BJP has sent party general secretary Ram Madhav to Telugu Desam Party to patch up differences over the issues of granting Special Category Status and an economic package for the State.

Chandrababu had minced no words in expressing his disappointment that though the TDP is an ally of the NDA, the State has not got special allotments and many of its financial issues remain unresolved. Madhav visited the State on February 25 and 26. BJP sources said that Madhav’s visit was important to dispel the notion that the party wanted a break with the TDP. The TDP has been feeling pressure because of the Assembly elections will be held next year. YSRCP chief has asked the party MPs to resign on April 6 if serious financial and procedural allotments for the implementation of the AP Reorganization Act are not made.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu reiterated that SCS is the right of the State. He said that SCS were granted to any other State, AP should also be considered. AT the same time, it was also necessary to address issues such as Polavaram project and the revenue deficit. He took exception on the remarks of the BJP leaders that Rayalaseema region has been ignored, the Chief Minister said those criticizing him should not forget the fact that he too hailed from the region. He said that the TDP government has developed Rayalaseema and ensured water to it.
