BJP national president Amit Shah today telephoned to Chandrababu Naidu to invite him for a discussion on implementation of AP Reorganization Act and assurances given in the Parliament.

A delegation led by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y.S.Chowdary will meet Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Amit Shaw and officials on March 5 according to sources. It said that the Centre would announce a time-bound action plan for implementation of the AP Reorganization Act. The action came following TDP’s decision to seek the support of all political parties for its demand. Meanwhile, TDP sources said that it had decided to go ahead with plans to step up protests in Parliament.

‘It will be a courtesy call. The TDP shall not compromise the State’s interests. The party will continue to mount pressure on the Centre until the issues raised by us are addressed to our satisfaction’, said Chandrababu Naidu to his colleagues.

Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, AP State Planning Board vice-chairman C.Kutumba Rao and officials will accompany Chowdary. Rammohan Naidu and Kutumba Rao had met Amit Shaw on Thursday to discuss issues related to the State. Sources said that the TDP is not happy with the discussions and the response was not encouraging, said Rammohan Naidu.
