J.Srinivasa Rao, who attempted on the life of YSRCP president and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on October 25 created a flutter on Tuesday saying he might be killed in hospital.
According to police sources, he was being taken to KGH for routine check-up from the Airport Police Station. But the moment he came out of the police station and noticed the media presence, he started shouting that the police team bodily lifted and placed him in the vehicle. This apparently created a confusion that he had fallen sick and had a cardiac arrest. The ACP said that he is normal and has been moved back to the police station after the check p.
The Special Investigating Team (SIT) is also considering legal options to get a statement from Jagan Mohan Reddy in Hyderabad but was learnt that Jagan had refused to give a statement or to be interrogated.
Though Jagan refused to also file a FIR, we will go ahead with our investigation as it is a criminal offence in full public glare. We have already booked an attempt to murder case against Srinivasa Rao based on a report filed by the CISF said Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam Mahesh Chandra Laddha.
He said that even after three days in the police custody, the accused had not been cooperating with the investigation team as desired. He also said teams were being sent to MP and Odisha to examine a few of his friends. He is safe and healthy in the police custody, he said.
New Delhi/Visakhapatnam ::YSRCP demands to handover the case to CBI:: Speaking to media, YSRCP urban unit president Malla Vijay Prasad today demanded that the investigation be handed over to the CBI or an impartial judicial committee.
