Attack on the life of Jagan case – Single judge orders Registrar to transfer to CJ Court

The petitions filed by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and party senior leader and former MP and Political Affairs Committee member Y.V.Subba Reddy filed separate petitions seeking an interim directions to handover the attempt to murder Jagan case to an independent investigation agency.

High Court single judge Justice Akula Venkata Sesha Sai has directed the Registry to combine these two petitions along with a PIL filed about the security lapses in the high security Airport zone to the Chief Justice bench. The petitions are likely to come up for hearing on November 6.

Niranjan Reddy, the counsel appearing for Subba Reddy told the court that there is no relation with the petitions filed with the PIL as the PIL is only meant for the security aspect. He asked the court to go through the petitioner’s PIL and can take a decision on the attachment along with the petitioners. The judge sought an explanation from Advocate General D.Srinivas who said that the main motto of the PIL and the petitions are similar but the difference is in only wording. Agreeing with the argument, the judge posted the matter to Thursday.

Visakhapatnam:: Accused parents clarify that his son has no relation with YSRCP:: The parents of Srinivasa Rao, accused in Jagan murder attempt case clarified that his son and his family has no relation with the YSRCP. The parents Savitramma and Tata Rao were brought from Thanelanka (Mummudivaram) to Visakhapatnam on Wednesday as part of investigation. The SIT team interrogated them at Gopalapatnam Police Station and later in the midnight shifted them to Airport Police Station. On Thursday, the officials interrogated them in various angles. The officials found from the call data of the accused and came to conclusion that the accused has spoked with 321 persons in one month. The accused has named one hundred persons and the police officials are on the job of getting information about them. After the custody period is over, the accused may be sent to judicial custody on Friday.

Nagari MLA Roja demands inclusion of Section 120B:: YSRCP senior leader and Nagari MLA Roja met the Governor ESL Narasimhan. She demanded the inclusion of Section 120B in the murder attempt case. To bring the facts into light, the demanded the arrest of actor Sivaji who created ‘Operation Garuda” and also verify the call data of Hotel proprietor Harshavardan. She said that actor Sivaji left the country as a part of conspiracy. She expressed the doubts of involvement of TDP leaders.
