Gas leak takes 14 women ill

Kakinada:: As many as 14 women were taken ill after reportedly inhaling ammonia gas while attending duties at a unit located on the city outskirts on Friday. The victims were rushed to Government General Hospital where their condition was said to be stable. The incident took place at Veerabhadra Exports at Gurajanapalli village of Karapa mandal where 30 women were processing prawns for export.

Rythu Sangam State meet to be held in July

Kakinada:; The 21st State level conference of the AP Rythu Sangham will be held here in the second week of July. Senior leaders fighting for the rights of farmers and agriculture scientists from different parts of the country will address the farmers coming from all the 13 districts. Sangham’s general secretary K.Peddi Reddy on Friday announced the same.

No proposal to form new districts=

Rajamahendravaram:: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murty said on Friday that there was no proposal to form new districts in the State. He added that 18 new revenue divisions were going to come. He said that freedom fighters and ex-servicemen can sell their lands after 10 years.

Employees issue taken to government notice

Vijayawada:: The APNGOs’ Association has taken to the government’s notice various problems faced by the employees. In a press release here on Friday, APNGOA president P.Ashok Babu and general secretary N.Chandrasekhar Reddy stated that the government was asked to calculate the service of employees of departmental head offices from the date of joining in Vijayawada and to set up a helpline to solve problems that might be encountered in the online transfers.

Telugu University annual examinations from October 4

Hyderabad:: Potti Sriramulu Telugu University Distance Education that conducts annual examination for various courses will be held from October 4 to 24 according to Registrar Prof. V.Sattireddy. The examinations will be held at Warangal, Rajahmahendravam, Srisailam, Kuchipudi along with Hyderabad. The first year examination fee is fixed at Rs.600, Rs.800 for second year. The candidates have to pay the fee before May 31.

Railway General Manager to meet with MPs on May 9

Vijayawada:: Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav will meet the MPs (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) representing the state on May 9. The MPs representing Guntakal, Guntur, Vijayawada divisions will be attending according to sources. The General Manager will take up the suggestions and advices of the MPs.
