Guntur:: CREDAI warns entre on cement price:: The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India has warned that builders will not hesitate to import cement from other Asian countries like China, if the cement price is not controlled. CREDAI Guntur chapter president Maddi Nagapraad and secretary Srinivasa Reddy said that at a time when both the Central and State governments have been stating that houses would be constructed for all, the steep increase in cement pries up to Rs.390 per bag is deplorable. The cement companies have been blaming the introduction of GST bill and rising transport cost on the other hand had scaled up the production, they said.

Kakinada:: Degree college admissions:: The Pithapuram Rajah Government degree college is inviting applications from eligible students for admission into Bachelor’s and Master’s degree courses. The applications would be accepted from April 18 and the last date for their submission is May 27. Interviews would be conducted in the first week of June. A helpline centre had been arranged for the students seeking PG admissions.
Ongole:: YSRCP to mount pressure on Centre for SCS:: The YSRCP will mount pressure on the BJP-TDP combine for the fulfilment of the assurance on SCS given to the State on the floor of Parliament at the time of bifurcation of the State said YSRCP chief whip in Parliament Y.V.Subba Reddy. He moved a private member’s bill on the issue in the Lok Sabha said that the Centre cannot go back on its assurance that forms the basis for the division. ‘We will not hesitate to put our papers and expose the two parties in the people’s court if they fail to keep their word’, he told to media.
Vijayawada:; Chandrababu to launch ‘Badikosta’::Chief Minster Chandrababu Naidu will launch the programme ‘Badikosta’ here on Monday according to HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao. He said that the Chief Minister will distribute bicycles to Class 9 students of the government high schools and Zilla Parishad schools. A sum of Rs.75 crore is allocated for the programme, he said.

Vijayawada:: Ten applications cleared in CRDA open forum:: The AP CRDA approved 10 out of 12 applications in the open forum organized in its premises on Saturday. Additional information was sought in respect of two. Five applications were for building permission and all of them were cleared. Out of five applications for layout approval, sanction was given only for four.
