The Academic Senate of Andhra University met here on Saturday and gave its consent to the new courses.
The Senate also approved a suggestion to rename the BBM course as BBA and to introduce nine specializations in M.Sc (Chemistry) programme. Certificates will be issued separately for the specializations and those who have passed the course in the past could also receive the certificate with their specialization certificate by paying a fee of Rs.1,000. It approved the CBCS method in common grading and syllabi and examination method for Japanese, soft skills and journalism diplomas. Vice-Chancellor in-charge E.A.Narayana presided over the meeting. He said that temporary campus of the Indian Institute of Petroleum would be located in the AU College of Engineering.
