Tirumala:: Police takes up in-depth inquiry:: The revelation by the non-Hindu who on Wednesday was taken into custody for allegedly performing his religious prayers in a public place that he worked for Khalema Jameed – a Bangladesh based religious organization has prompted the Tirumala police to go in for an in-depth inquiry into the incident. The accused S.K.Abu Hajma (39) is also said to have admitted to working for the organization which reportedly encourages conversions. He revealed that the organization was being run by Bangaldeshi Professor Abdul Majid.
Visakhapatnam:: Boat race for fishermen:: A boat racing competition is being organized by the Indian Coast Guard to commermorate the 40th Coast Guard Raising Day at the RK Beach on January 29. Around 100 participants and 20 country boats are expected to participate in the event according to Assistant Commandant (Coast Guard) Jeevesh Anand. Police Commissioner T.Yoganand will be the chief guest at the inaugural function.
Visakhapatnam:: IOB launches recovery drive:: IOB, Visakhapatnam has launched a special recovery drive in the reion by sending special recovery squads for one-time settlement. Chief Regional Manager K.N.Manorama launched the drive and stated that the Banks were mounted with heavy NPA and advised the borrowers to avail the opportunity for one time settlement.
