  • Amaravati:: Promotions to Municipal Teachers:: Municipal Teachers Federation State president and secretary in a statement on Sunday said that the government has agreed to give promotions to Municipal Grade -2 language, PET (874 posts). They said that the Chief Minister has agreed to grant Gazetted qualification to Municipal High School Head Masters.
  • ANU(Guntur):: ANU Distance Education results announced:: Acharya Nagarjuna University Distance Education that conducted examinations in December last in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States has on Sunday released the results for the courses of 1st and second year M.Sc IT, M.Sc courses, MCA 1st, 2nd and 3rd year M.C.A. courses. The results can be had on www.anucde.info . Candidates seeking revaluation has to pay Rs.960 per paper by February 20. It also released the degree results and the last date for revaluation is fixed as February 15 and candidates seeking has to pay Rs.770 per paper.
  • Kurnool:: Three die after consumption of liquor at a wedding reception:: Three persons died after reported consumed liquor at a wedding celebrations in Billapuram of Nandyal Mandal on Sunday night. The deceased were identified as Krishnaiah, Pullaiah and Guravaiah who were guests to the wedding ceremony.
  • Machilipatnam :: Teacher accused in sexual assault case on the run:: V.Rajesh, a government teacher who allegedly sexually assaulted a class X student in the classroom in the ZP High School at Laxmipuram village in Kruthivennu mandal of Krishna district on January 29 is on run. Police registered a case against Rajesh under Section 7 and 8 of the Protection of Children from sexual Offices Act, 2012. He was beaten up by the villagers for his act during a special class. The accused is a biology teacher was suspended from the services on February 1.
  • Tirupati:: alas protest against K.Chandrasekhara Rao:: Decrying the support extended by the Telangana State Government to categorization, members of the Mala community staged a protest at the Ambedkar statue on Sunday and accused the Chef Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao. Mala Political JAC convener Puthalapattu Prabhakar who led the agitation alleged that Chandrasekhara Rao was hardcore separatist. He alleged that he first split the State and now trying to split Dalits.
  • Visakhapatnam:: Health Minister sanctions additional block:: AP Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Sunday sanctioned an additional 50 bed block at the 30 bed maternity hospital at Gopalapatnam. The new block would be constructed at a cost of Rs9.35 crore, he said during his visit to the hospital at Gopalapatnam. He said that the facilities at the hospital will also be improved. MP K.Haribabu sanctioned a solar water heating facility to the hospital from his MP LAD funds.
