Call-money scandal - MLA responds TDP MLA Bode Prasad condemned the allegation over him in the Call-Money Scandal. He said that Venigalla Srikanth is only his friend. The MLA said that he had not invested in the call-money racket. He wanted the borrowers not to pay any amount if due to Srikanth. 'I will stand by victims side', he said.

Graduation Parade-Army chief to review
Indian Army Chief Gen.Dalbir Singh will review the combined graduation parade of 209 flight cadets including 60 women at the Indian Air Force Academy, Dundigal. He will present ‘Wings and Brevets’ to the flight cadets on behalf of the President. The cadets will be posted at different branches like flying, ground duty, navigation, logistics, meteorology, accounts, education and administration.

SCR bags seven National Energy Conservation Awards
The South Central Railway has bagged 7 National Energy Conservation Awards for the year 2014-15 in recognition of its achievements in the area of energy conservation in various sectors. The SCR bagged seven awards in one year out of the total of 24 awards. Ravindra Gupta, General Manager, South Central Railway received the First Prize Shield in Office Buildings Sector (awarded to C-TARA/Secunderabad) from Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy today at a grand function held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.

AP Capital Region Unified Transport Authority formed
CRDA secretary Ajay Jain on Monday issued orders constituting Capital Region Unified Transport Authority. The Chief Secretary of the State will be the chairman and CRDA commissioner will be member convenor and CRDA secretary, Vijayawada Police Commissioner, Guntur Municipal Commissioner, APSRTC MD, Pollution Control Board secretary, SC Railway General Manager, Road Transport Commissioner, Amaravati Metro Rail Corporation MD and government advisor Pradeep Kumar Srivastava as members.

Hari Babu elected as Marine Products Authority member
BJP Visakhapatnam MP Khambhampati Haribabu was unanimously elected as member of Marine Products Export Development Authority while TDP MP M.Murali Mohan as advisory committee member for Central buildings and other constructions.

14 more flood forecasting stations to come up
The Union Ministry of Water resources and River development has decided to establish 14 more flood forecasting stations in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. The flood forecasting stations would collect automatic sensor based and satellite based data for near real-time flood forecasting and help development of mathematical models medium range hydrologic and hydraulic models with a warning time of up to 72 hours using one dimensional mathematical modeling tolls for effective flood forecasting.

High Court seeks safety measures taken in brick kilns in AP and Telangana
A Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising acting Chief Justice D.B.Bhosale and Justice S.V.Bhatt directed the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State governments to inform the court about the safety measures in place in brick kilns functioning in the States and various welfare measures for the migrant labourers working in the brick kilns. The Bench was dealing with a case remitted form Supreme Court.


Chief Minister to lay foundation stone for Krishna University
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stones for three major projects including permanent buildings for Krishna University at Rudravaram and a bridge on river Krishna between Bhavanipuram and Ullipalem villages. He will lay the foundation stones in January next. The exact date is yet to be finalized.


ACB nabs Motor Vehicle Inspector seizes Rs.3.25 crore assets
The Central Investigation Unit of ACB along with its local units raided the premises of a MVI with RTA in Visakhapatnam on Monday. They seized property documents worth Rs.3.25 crore. The properties seized includes two granite factories at Bhogapuram. The MVI, J.Bala Nayak is currently working at Srikakulam. He was taken into custody. The seized property includes 17 house sites spread across six districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana apart from a three storeyed house at Muralinagar in Visakhapatnam. They seized cash to the tune of Rs.9.5 lakh, 8 kg silver and 1.2 kg of gold.

Ganja worth over Rs.1.6 crore seized
The Prohibition and Excise Department seized 1,640 kgs of dry ganja in a surprise check at Narsipatnam and arrested two persons in this connection. The value of the seized contraband goods is worth over Rs.1.6 crore . The arrested were identified as M.Venkat Rao of Chintapalli mandal and P.Mugri of Hukumpet mandal.


Chief Minister launches e-Spandana and Digital Panchayat web portals
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during Collectors’ conference on Monday launched two web portals e-Spandana and Digital Panchayat as part of E-Seva. The services like marriage certificate to assets value, mutation, water tap connection, NOC, Building permissions, layout permission, birth and death certificates, payment of house tax, professional licence etc., are available. The complaints lodged through the portal will be settled within 48 hours.

Chandrasekhara Rao invites Chandrababu for Chandi Yagam
Telangana State Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday called on AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his official residence here and invited him to attend for the Chandi Yagam to be conducted form December 23 to 27 at his farm house. Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Chinarajappa, Ravela Kishore Babu welcomed him at the specially erected helipad.

Kankipadu(Krishna)::'I have no connection with call-money episode’, says MLA Bode Prasad
Penamaluru TDP MLA Bode Prasad said that he had no connection whatsoever with the Call Money racket or sex racket. It may be recalled that the MLA is facing allegations in the racket. Speaking to press at his residence at Pasupukota in Kankipadu of Krishna district, he said that Venigalla Srikanth who is the A-5 in the scam is only his friend. He condemned the allegations.
