Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet decisions

The State Cabinet has on Thursday cleared the Automobile Industries Policy. The police aimed at the establishment of engine plants, press shops, body shops, transmission and assembly lines, paint shops and foundries in the backward areas of the State.

The Cabinet meeting held at the Interium Government Complex at Velagapudi approved the Andhra Pradesh Logistics University Drafts Bill, 2017.

It approved the allotment of 45.56 acres of unassigned lands free of cost for the establishment of Damodaram Sanjeevaiah National Law University at Askapalli village in Sabbavaram mandal of Visakhapatnam district.

It approved to borrow Rs.100 crore form the HUDCO for land acquisition and pre-development works to be undertaken by the Bhogapuram International Airport Corporation Ltd.,

The State Cabinet also resolved to release Rs.126 crore towards interest, incidental expenses, storage, insurance and handling charges on the stocks of fertilizers for the financial years 2011-12m 2012-13 and 2013 -14.

It cleared State support agreement for the Krishnapatnam node of the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. The pact will be implemented by a Government of India designated agency and the APIIC.

Tirupati Airport named as Sri Venkateswara International Airport and the Gannavaram airport has been named as NTR Amaravati Airport. These decisions have been taken at the Cabinet meeting and resolved to send the proposals to the Centre to renaming them.

The State Cabinet approved the Maritime Board Draft Bill 2017 to enable the development of ports and administration.
