Sub Inspector placed in VR following alleged attack on YSRCP leader

Kakinada:: Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni today issued orders placing Ramachandrapuram sub-inspector of police Nagaraju to vacancy reserve. Following an alleged attack on the YSRCP youth wing president Jakkampudi Raja at Ramachandrapuram mosque centre on Sunday night. BC hostel inmate dead

Ongole:: D.Kartik (14), an inmate of the BC hostel at Kothapatnam in Prakasam district died in the early hours of Tuesday. He hailed form Divivavaripalem. He complained of stomach and chest pain last night and was found dead in the morning said police sources. A case under Section 174 of the CrPC had been registered and the body sent for a post mortem examination. Meanwhile, SFI district secretary Ch.Sudhakar sought a probe into the death of the student and demanded payment of an ex-gratia of Rs.10 lakh to his family members.

Vice President visiting on November 5

Vijayawada:: Vice-President M.Venkaiah Naidu will tour Andhra Pradesh from November 5 to 7. He will arrive here on November 5 at 10am and reach Swarna Bharat Trust to inaugurate NTR Convention Centre at Rajamahendravaram. The same day, he will attend ‘koti deepotsavam’ programme in the city. He would lay a foundation stone for the botanical garden in Adikavi Nannaya University on November 6. He will return to New Delhi on November 7.
