Jagammpeta (East Godavari):: Nearly 80 students were taken to ill after they consumed khichidi in the BC Welfare Hostel on Monday. Fourteen among them were rushed to Kakinada and admitted the GGH for better treatment while 20 were admitted in the local area hospital and the rest were treated as outpatients. There were 160 students in the hostel. On Sunday, some students fell sick after consuming pulav. On Monday morning, the students had khichidi and they started omitting and some of them became unconscious. Local MLA Jyothula Nehru, Joint Collector Mallikharjun and Deputy Director, BC Welfare Satyanarayana and others rushed to the hospital.
Visakhapatnam:: As many as 7,000 mines in the State have been surveyed by GPS and boundaries demarcated said Mines Minister R.V.Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao. Even the process of issuing no objection certificates for leasing of mines was made to prevent irregularities, he said. District level committees were formed for free supply of sand and loading and transport charges were specified, he said.
Vijayawada:: YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy today called on media magnate Ramoji Rao at his residence in the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad today. Sources close to Jagan said that he called on Ramoji Rao to inform him personally about the padayatra he was taking out and ask for his support. He also enquired about his health, said sources.
Tirumala:: TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer A.Ravikrishna on Monday said about 250 to 300 state-of the art cameras would be installed at all the vital points inside the temple. Authorities of National Small Industries Corporation visited the temple and had been asked to provide necessary specifications to enable the management take up the work immediately. A MoU is being worked out for the supply and setting up of the cameras.
Vijayawada:: MLC Payyavula Keshav hitting back at TTDP working president A.Revanth Reddy who made serious allegations against him questioned whether he did not float a company with Nizamabad MP K.Kavita as partner and more closely with YSRCP president Jagan. ‘ I have been serving the TDP as a soldier for over 25 years and will never do anything that harms the party interests. Revanth’s comments will do more damage to himself than me’, he said at a press conference. He claimed to have information about Revanth’s visits to Delhi during the last six months. He will disclose all these after a meeting with Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
Vijayawada:: The AP Economic Development Board and Abu Dhubai based Al-Arfaj Group today singed an MoU for the establishment of a Liquefied Natural Gas terminal and Greenfield crude oil refinery and petrochemical complex in the state. The pact was inked by EDP CEO J.Krishna Kishore and Al-Arfaj Group Chairman Saud Al Arfaj in presence of the Chief Minister. The agreement facilitates direct investment in wellness resort projects in the State with an investment of nearly $60 million. It is expected to create 750 direct jobs.
