Deepavali Asthanam held

Tirumala:: Religious ecstasy marked ‘Deepavali Asthanam’ at the temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy here on Tuesday. It was conducted at ‘Bangaru Vakili’ inside the temple. The priests performed the mandatory ritual to the professional deities of Lord Malayappa Swamy and His two consorts who were seated atop the golden ‘Sarva Bhoopala Vahanam’ facing the main idol along with Lord Viswaksena.

AP team studies agri practices in South Korea

Vijayawada:: Minister for Industries N.Amarnath Reddy said AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation special representative Preetham Reddy obtained a first hand account of agricultural practices followed n the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea on Thursday for replicating similar methods in the agri-based sector in the State. They held discussions with paddy farmers’ societies and enquired how they were able to achieve high yield on a sustainable basis and what technologies came in handy. He sought the cooperation of local farmers in realizing the commercial potential diverse crops grown in the State.

CII interactive session with Lokesh

Vijayawada:: The Confederation of Indian Industry is organizing an interactive session with the Minister of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and IT Nara Lokesh at Hotel Gateway here at 3.15pm on Friday according to a press release.
