CPI to observe November 8 as a ‘black day’

Tirupati:: With demonetization completing one year of its implementation on November 8, the CPI has decided to observe it as a ‘black day’ . Speaking to media here on Sunday, CPI national secretary K.Narayana said the decision neither benefitted the common man nor helped the government achieve the propagated agenda. He along with the State secretary K.Ramakrishna said that the party would undertake a series of protests.

Sainik School Entrance test on January 7

Vizianagaram:: Applications are invited from boys from All India Sainik School Entrance Examination for admission into classes VI and IX for the academic year 2018-19. Two held and ganja seized

Vizianagaram:: The Butchiyyapeta police led by Sub Inspector seized 100 kg of dry ganja and arrested two inter-State smugglers when the duo was transporting it in a car at Butchiyyapeta junction in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The arrested were identified as Ranjit Gulab Jadhav and Bhagavat Govind Singh both from Maharashtra. One more managed to escape.

One more MLA from YSRCP to join TDP

Kakinada:: Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa today indicated the possible joining of one more MLA from YSRCP. He, however, reluctant to reveal the details of the MLA, but made it clear that the shifting of loyalities would take place very soon. On Jagan Mohan Reddy’s padayatra, he said that the government would provide the necessary security. ‘Jagan is aware of the procedures and obtaining permissions in prescribed format. He is not like Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham who did not want to honour the rules’, he said.

Jagan has violated TTD rules’, alleges Gottipati Ramakrishna Prasad

Addressing a press conference today, TDP State organizing secretary Gottipati Ramakrishna Prasad alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy has violated the traditions laid down practices and sentiments of lakhs of devotees by refusing to declare his faith. As per the TTD rules, any non-Hindu has to declare his faith in front of the official concerned before entering the temple. In fact, the temple ‘peshkar’ can ask for declaration from any Hindu if he was of the opinion that the said person has no faith in the deity, he said.
