Assembly mourns tourists

Vijayawada:: The Assembly mourned the victims of the boat accident in Krishna River at its session on Monday. MLAs observed two minutes silence. A resolution introduced by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took note of the search and rescue operations conducted by the staff of NDRF, SRDF, Police, Fire, Water Resources, Revenue, Municipality, Tourism and Health departments. The Assembly offered its condolence to the kin of the victims.

Government looking into the plea to scrap CPS

Velagapudi:: AP Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu responding to a question by Amalapuram TDP MLA A.Ananda Rao where there was a pension security with the CPS under the National Pension System introduced by the UPA government and if it was a fact that the employees of 57 departments were experiencing hardship due to the CPS, he admitted that the concerns were true and the government had exercised the option to adopt the CPS and the clamour for scrapping it has been growing for the last few years. Visakhapatnam north MLA P.Vishnu Kumar Raju said that it was a matter concerning about 1.84 lakh employees.
