Freedom fighter and noted advocate Venkateswarlu passed away

Ongole:: Freedom fighter and noted advocate Karavadi Venkateswarlu (94) passed away at his residence here due to old age. He fought for the problems of Chittivalasa jute mill workers. He was arrested for violation of British rules and underwent imprisonment at Tanjavur prison. He established over 50 workers unions.

State seeks extension of Section 108

Vijayawada:: The State government today has written a letter to the Home Ministry seeking extension of the operative provisions of Section108 of the AP Reorganization Act 2014 for two more years ie. till June 1, 2019. Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar has written this letter.

Trade hub to come up in 500 acres of land

Vijayawada:: AP Federation of Chamber of Commerce president V.Bhaskar Rao on Friday said the government will all set to allot 500 acres in Amaravati for the traders of the State. Speaking at an awareness meeting programme on GST, he said the AP Trade Hub Private Limited, a new company was registered recently to take the initiative forward.
