State government burdening people with taxes-Dharmana Prasada Rao

Srikakulam:: YSRCP general secretary Dharmana Prasada Rao today alleged that the government was imposing a heavy tax burden on the people while ignoring their welfare. Speaking at a programme organized to felicitate former MLA Dharmana Krishna Das on his being appointed member of the party’s Political Advisory Committee, Dharmana Prasada Rao asked the workers to show more commitment to strengthen the party at the gross-out level.

KRU admission process begins

Vijayawada:: The process of gaining admission into various courses in Krishna University’s PG Centre in Nuzvid and in the university affiliated colleges at the K.B.N. College on Tuesday. University Vice Chancellor Sunkara Ramakrishna Rao and KBN College secretary and correspondent Rajith Kumar presented the PG admission certificates to the students. Prof.Ramakrishna Rao said the KRU would provide hostel facility for boys and girls separately from this academic year.

Six killed in auto rickshaw-truck collision

Vizianagaram:: Six persons including an assistant professor of an engineering college were killed on the spot and four critically injured when an auto rickshaw collided with a truck at Chandakapet in Denkada mandal today. Rajasekhar, auto driver who is one among the injured picked up passengers en route to the Viziangaram town. The deceased were N.Appa Rao of Srikakulam district, B.Suribabu of Denkada, M.Govindu, G.Appala Naidu, R.Rajesh and another person.

PCC Secretary Anil Chowdary joins YSRCP

Kadapa:: Congress party Anantapur constituency in-charge and PCC secretary P.V.Anil Chowdary along with Kalyanadurgam constituency co-ordinator Ushasri joined YSRCP in presence of party president Jagan Mohan Reddy. The other leaders who joined the party included Congress party youth leader Manjunatha Chowdary, DCC vice president Tippaiahswami Goud, DCC secretary Vannuru Swamy, vice sarpanch Anjaneyulu, former sarpanch Tirumalapa, NSUY leaders Samba, SC cell district secretary Lakshmanna.
