Mirchi yard holiday anti-farmer

Amaravati:: YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy wondered why the government should close down the Guntur Mirchi Yard while the growers were in the grip of the worst-ever crisis. In an informal chat with the media, he said that the government announced the holiday till June 4. It was pre-planned so that the farmers would get busy and forget the problem once the monsoon arrived.

TDP leader K.Narayana alleges attack by party rival

Chittoor:: Kolar Narayana, TDP leader of Madanapalle rural division today lodged a complaint with the rural police alleging assault by his party rivals. He further alleged that the attackers also snatched away cash from him. Narayana is one of the contestants for the president post of the Madanapalle Rural Division along with a dozen others in the TDP. In view of the large number of contestants, the district party leadership kept the election process in abeyance, hoping to find a solution by initiating talks with the local leaders.

TDP-BJP alliance will continue

Vijayawada: The TDP leadership is hopeful that its alliance with the BJP will continue in the next general elections. The TDP leaders feel that the alliance was required for both the TDP and BJP as far as Andhra Pradesh was concerned. Bonda Umamaheswara Rao said that the TDP and the BJP contested the elections in 2014. Both the parties are working with coordination for the development of the State and country. There are no issues as things stand that necessitates either the TDP or BJP to severe ties and the alliances would continue, he said.
