Pinarayi to attend farm workers’ meeting

Kurnool- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be the chief guest at the public meeting and 27th State mahasabha of the AP Agricultural Workers’ Union at STBC College grounds on June 19. CPI functionaries organized a 2K run from the Collectorate to Konda Reddy Fort on Friday. Later, the leaders explained the programmes planned from June 10 to 19 in the run-up of the mahasabha.

SUV secures NAAC A+ grade

Tirupati- Sri Venkateswara University secured NAAC A+ grade in the third cycle announced by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, Bengaluru. SVU Vice Chancellor A.Damodaram said with the attainment of the grade, SVU has become one of among four other public universities securing distinction.

CID and FSL begins probe in water leak in Jagan’s chambers

Amaravati-CID officials who are investigating the rainwater leak into the Secretariat at Velagapudi collected the CCTV footage and the call data of frequent visitors including employees. The CID officials along with Forensic Science Laboratory officials and experts from JNTU-K visited the place where the plastic pipe was cut on the terrace and the seepage occurred through the ceiling the Secretariat.

Teachers burn copies of GO

Vijayawada- Members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Organization and JAC of Teachers’ Organization today burnt the copies of a GO on rationalization of schools and teachers posting to protest against the government’s move. FACTO chairman P.Babu Reddy said the Education Minister on May 1 assured the teachers that rationalization would not result in closure of schools, no weightage would be given to performance in teacher postings and that there would not be web counselling. But the subsequent GO issued by the department was contrary to his assurances.
