’Rs.500 crore for developing Nandyal’, says Akhil Priya

Kurnool:: Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu sanctioned Rs.500 crore for the development of Nandyal constituency, said Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya today. Addressing the Nava Nirmana Deeksha at the Nandyal municipality office, she said that the fuds would be utilized to construct 13,000 houses, widen rods, mitigate drinking water scarcity, develop seven parks and check free roaming of pigs, she said.

Chief Minister neglecting North Andhra

Vizianagaram:: Uttarandhra Projectula Saadhana Committee convener Konathala Ramakrishna today accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of neglecting the projects of North Coastal Andhra districts. Addressing the media here, he said a round table would be organized on Jun 25 to discuss various issues.

Yadavas flay TDP for its anti-BC policy

Tirupati:: The Yadava community today came down heavily on the TDP for its alleged anti-BC stance and warned that the numerically strong community would teach it a lesson in the next elections. At the Yadava Sankharava Ratha Yatra taken out by All India Yadava Association, its leader Anna Ramachandraiah Yadav flayed the TDP government for trying to include Kapu, Balija and Ontari communities in the list of BCs.

Special police vehicles to monitor road safety

Nellore:: Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni today launched four special police vehicles for monitoring road safety on the highways in Nellore district. The newly acquired vehicles were flagged off at a meeting held at the Police Parade Grounds.

APTDC to get Rs.30 crore for ‘Swadeshi Darshan’

Chittoor:: The Tirupati division of the AP Tourism Development Corporation is all set to get Rs.30 crore from the Central government to execute the ‘Swadeshi Darshan’ project. Tourism department officials said the funds would be utilized to provide spiritual ambiance at select centres in Rayalaseema districts. The package would include Srikalahasti Kanipakam, Kailasakonda and Talakona in the district. The first phase of providing darshan at Tirumala temple in agreement with the road transport authorities of Karnataka has been going on successfully since its launch in the last month.
