Amaravati:: Minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana along with CRDA Commissioner Ch.Sridhar visited the campus sites of the VIT University and the SRM University which are under construction at Inavolu and Neerukonda respectively. Narayana said that the classes would begin from the coming academic year from July 19 at both the universities from August 7 respectively. He said that both the universities had started the admission process. The VIT is going to have 660 graduation, 120 post graduation and 50 Ph.D seats. This year, the SRM University is going to have 240 students.
Machilipatnam:: The second phase counselling for admission to various post-graduate courses offered by Krishna University will be held at the KBN College in Vijayawada on June 28 and 29. According to a press release, candidates who qualified for the Krishna University Common Entrance Test-2017 are eligible to attend the counselling. Candidates who got admission in the first counseling will be given a chance to change the college during the two-day counselling.
Kakinada:: The district level plenary of the YSRCP will be held here on June 29. Senior party leaders Dharmana Prasada Rao and Mopidevi Venkataramana will participate as special invitees. YSRCP district president K.Kanna Babu speaking at a press conference said except in Rampachodavaram, the party completed constituency level plenaries in all the Assembly constituencies.
Vizianagaram:: MVGR College of Engineering conducted ‘Google Code to Learn’, a training programme for school faulty on its premises today. Over 50 teachers from 40 schools in the district attended the programme by Google and AP State Skill Development Corporation. The programme would provide an exposure to coding techniques by using Google tools.
Rajamahendravaram:: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju today urged the Railway Minsiter Suresh Prabhu to introduce a ‘Jana Sadharan’ train between Kakinada and Secunderabad. In a letter to Railway Minister, he said following cancellation of permits given to 900 private buses by Arunachala Pradesh government, new ‘Jana Sadharan’ train should be operated to meet the rush.
