Chief Minister to present MSME awards

Vijayawada:: The Department of Industries will celebrate the International MME Day at ‘A’ Convention Centre on June 27 where the Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu will present MSME awards in 20 different categories. The Chief Minister will address a gathering of MSME businessmen and women from across the country. The awards notification can be seen on https://www.apindustreis.gov.in. according to a release.

Tobacco traders to boycott auction for two days

Ongole:: Virginia tobacco traders have decided not to take part in e-auction on Thursday and Friday to press rollback of GST o tobacco leaves and unmanufactured tobacco. The GST council has imposed 5 per cent on tobacco leaves and 28 per cent on unmanufactured tobacco sold to domestic manufacturers or exporters. The decision to boycott is to express solidarity with the farmers who stalled the auctions on Monday concerned over the fallout of the Centre’s move on the tobacco sector, said Indian Tobacco Association president M.Umamaheswara Rao.

EAMCET third phase ranks released

Kakinada:: AP EAMCET-2017 convener Dr.Ch.Sai Babu in a statement today said that th third phase ranks have been released. As many as 3,863 students in engineering stream from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States and in agriculture 1,318 students were qualified. Certificate verification from June 16 for admissions into IIIT

Nuzvid:: The certificate verification for the candidates who have applied for admissions into four IIITs in the State will be held on June 16,17 and 18 said Nuzvid IIIT in charge AO Ramakanth. The certificate verification for physically challenged will be on June 16, candidates under sports quota on June 16 and ex-servicemen candidates on June 17 and for candidates under NCC quota on June 17 and 18. Candidates who have applied under sports quota should have been participated in International, National and State level competitions need to attend.

Two Irrigation engineers in ACB net

Nellore:: The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau has caught red-handed two engineers working in Irrigation department while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.48,000 from a complainant. The tainted officials were identified as Chandramouli and Giridhar.
